Factory Day Doubles Up
Attendance growth has compelled Finepoint to announce an additional factory day host for the Circuit Breaker Test & Maintenance Conference this October. ABB in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania, has cordially accepted the opportunity offered by Finepoint to also open its doors to conference participants.
“ABB, PA Breaker, and PA Transformer Technology will now share the responsibility of hosting the 2007 Factory Day. We must handle the growth in attendance and doubling up for Factory Day is this year’s only remedy,” said Bill Myers, conference organizer. “Canonsburg can accommodate only part of the attendees expected to register for this year’s event so we had to expand.”
The full day at a circuit breaker manufacturing plant has been a highlight of the conference since 1996. Beginning early morning, the participants tour the manufacturing facilities and then attend training seminars at the factory throughout the day. Factory Day is considered the “kick off” for each year’s conference. Past year’s factory day hosts are ABB (Greensburg/Mt. Pleasant Pennsylvania, in 1996, 2000, and 2005), AREVA (Charleroi, Pennsylvania, in 1997, 2001, and 2006), HVB AE Power Systems (Suwanee, Georgia, in 2004), Mitsubishi (Warrendale, Pennsylvania, in 1998 and 2002), Pennsylvania Breaker and Pennsylvania Transformer Technology (Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, in 2007), and Siemens (Jackson, Mississippi, in 1999 and 2003).
