Pennsylvania Breaker Dead Tank Circuit Breakers Feature High Dielectric Performance
Pennsylvania Breaker, this year’s co-host for the conference’s Factory Day, manufactures several dead-tank circuit breakers at its Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, site where attendees will tour its operations.
The dead-tank circuit breakers include:
- the PB245, which uses proven, robust puffer interrupter technology. It is rated at 145/170/245 kV, 3000 A, 63 kA, two to three cycles, has a high-speed operating mechanism and features a high-dielectric performance. It also has extended ratings and a simplified SF6 gas system.
- the PB145 designed for performance and cost-effectiveness. It is rated at 145 kV, 3000 A, 40 kA and features a low-maintenance mechanism. It has a high dielectric performance and a simplified SF6 gas system.
- the PB245-63 OAV3S offers independent pole operation (IPO) and synchronous control for capacitor bank switching.
