Recloser Analyzers Use Secondary Injection Testing

The new Gen Series from Zensol Automation is a line of recloser analyzers. Reclosers must work according to specified settings when called on. The consequences of not closing with the proper timing can be devastating including injury, damage to expensive electrical equipment, and expensive downtime.

The Gen Series uses secondary injection testing to measure the response time of closers in comparison to the protection curves. Results can be used to trend degradation, schedule maintenance, and prolong recloser life.

Test sequences are automated and tabular and graphic reports are generated automatically. The GEN Series can be used to test a wide range of recosers: Cooper, Schweitzer, ABB, Westinghouse, Joslyn, etc.
