Reinhausen Offers Power Transformer Regulation
Reinhausen makes transformers intelligent, in other words, controllable. Operators should be able to control them at any time. On-load tap-changer technology is a crucial element in this process – it is Reinhausen's core competence.
The company played a leading role in the development of on-load tap changers. The VACUTAP on-load tap-changers provide a maintenance-free system. The product range of the MR brand includes off-circuit tap-changers, power drives as well as control and monitoring units. Oil level and temperature gauges, pressure relief valves, maintenance-free dehumidifiers and electronic thermometers round off the portfolio.
By 2008, more than 150,000 on-load tap-changers "made by MR" had been delivered worldwide. More than 5,000 of these on-load tap-changers are still operating failure free after 40 years and more.
