Factory Day Session to Show HVB Design Benefts, Doble Test Equipment

HVB AE Power Systems, Inc., host of the 2009 Finepoint Circuit Breaker Test and Maintenance Training Conference Factory Day, will feature new developments in technology, a factory tour and technical presentations throughout the day.

Jozef Levi, application engineer at Doble, will present one of the sessions, covering the benefits of HVB design and what can be detected when a Doble test instrument is used for timing and motion measurement.

Levi will address the following topics:

  • HVB circuit breaker design
  • TDR900 instrument characteristics
  • What to measure and monitor
  • Testing – at this time we will operate breaker

Levi received a diploma in electrical engineering from the Electro-technical Faculty of the University of Sarajevo in 1973. His employment experience includes the Energoinvest Electrical Institute, Sarajevo; Energomex, Mexico City; and E Manufacturing, Mentor, OH. In 1999,  Levi joined Doble Engineering Co., Watertown, Massachusetts, where he is presently an application engineer for circuit breaker testing and TDR test instruments. Levi has designed SF6 circuit breakers and high-voltage disconnect switches and holds a U.S. patent for a disconnecting switch. His special fields of interest are electrical contacts for high voltage circuit breakers and disconnecting switches.
