HVB Product Services Department Supports Maintenance Needs
HVB AE Power Systems, located in Suwanee, Georgia, will host "Factory Day" at the 2009 Finepoint Circuit Breaker Test & Maintenance Training Conference. Its Product Services Department offers an array of service options to support substation maintenance needs. The staff of experienced technicians and engineers are qualified to provide a variety of services including:
- Turnkey Installations
- Testing and commissioning
- Troubleshooting assistance
- Warranty and repair services
- On-site maintenance training
- In-house maintenance training
HVB also offers various service plans:
- Seasonal Inspection and Testing--Testing: Mega ohm meter, micro ohm meter, SF6 leak detection, SF6 purity analysis, and Winterization: Heater inspection, heater function check, air/hydraulic system inspection, SF6 gas inspection
- Five Year Inspection and Maintenance (5 Years or 500 Operations)--Contact resistance check, capacitance check, insulator resistance check, calibration of air, hydraulic & gas pressure devices, dashpot oil inspection, breaker lubrication, inspect air and gas system for leaks, inspect bushings, and inspect operating curves
- Twelve Year Inspection and Maintenance (12 Years or 2000 Operations)--5 Year Inspection plus: Interrupter inspection and parts replacement if necessary, internal measurement test, comparison of final test data with original factory test data
