Fiberglass Repair Solution

Recognizing the need to expeditiously address the liability of damaged utility structures, GRA Services International has developed a twin-sleeve, pre-molded fiberglass restoration system for both wood and composite utility structures.

GRA Services' fiberglass repair system (FRS) is an effective solution that requires limited crew size and makes use of hand tools commonly used in the industry. The advantage of GRA's FRS system is in its ease of application, cost-effectiveness and versatility in restoring a multitude of pole classes and heights. FRS' variable geometry design enables the utility to stock just one sleeve size to repair poles ranging from class two to class six with circumferences from 30 to 50 inches.

The research and development process for FRS began in late 2000. Full destructive testing on early prototypes enabled GRA to continuously refine the manufacturing process. By early 2003, repetitive full destructive tests on class two poles and below proved that the FRS system could restore the strength of a damaged pole to 100% of its original strength.

Pole-Setting Foam

Rainbow's pole-setting foam helps save time and money, increases efficiency, and replaces traditional methods of backfilling distribution and transmission poles during installation. It is a hydrophobic, two-part foam that expands to fill the void between a utility pole and the hole. It forms a low-density, high-strength foam that can structurally support the pole and maintain its upright positioning. It expands approximately 15 times its original volume and sets the pole in 3 minutes.

Articulating/Telescoping Aerial

TIME Manufacturing Co. has just introduced the new VERSALIFT VST-7500-I articulating, telescoping insulated aerial lift. This new 75-ft platform height machine has been introduced as a direct result of customer requests for a taller version of the overwhelmingly popular 50-ft VST-5000. Engineered from the ground up as the premier equipment for the utility and municipality industries, the new VST machine helps users to go higher, reach further and maintain a greater platform capacity.

The Versalift VST-7500 is the only machine on the market that offers 80 ft of working height, 47 ft of horizontal reach and more than 5000 lbs. of payload capacity all on a single rear axle chassis. The optional hydraulic jib and winch package will allow the end user to turn the standard man-lift into a material handling aerial device.
