Founded in 1997, Custom Energy Services, LLC has provided energy efficiency solutions to clients throughout the United States. The firm uses guaranteed performance contracts. Performance contracting leverages energy savings from energy-efficient infrastructure improvements to cover project installation costs over set periods of time. Custom Energy Services, LLC also provides energy consulting for demand- and supply-side services, and provides on-site power, co-generation and renewable energy technologies. Members of its management team began working together as manufacturers' representatives in 1974.

With the acquisition of Custom Energy Services, ConEdison Solutions adds an office in Overland Park, Kansas, to support the needs of the Midwest region. Additionally, ConEdison Solutions maintains offices in New York, Florida, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina and Texas to support its growing national energy services business.

Last May, ConEdison Solutions acquired BGA, Inc., a Tampa-based energy services and engineering firm. Recently, ConEdison Solutions was selected as a qualified energy services contractor for the state of North Carolina. In March 2007, the company achieved accreditation as an Energy Service Provider by the National Association of Energy Service Companies (NAESCO), the nation's leading trade association focused on energy services. Also, ConEdison Solutions was recently honored by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) for its outstanding portfolio of energy efficiency projects on behalf of the state's energy customers.

ConEdison Solutions also maintains an active and growing electric commodity supply business and currently serves electric commodity customers in Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut, Maryland, Texas, Illinois and Washington, D.C.
