Oldcastle Acquires Strategic Companies
Oldcastle Precast Enclosure Solutions (OPES; Auburn, Washington, U.S.) has acquired Carson Industries and BES Concrete. The newly formed division, which also includes Christy, Synertech and Contractor Engineers Supply, offers customers a full range of enclosure solutions, made from high-strength concrete, polymers and plastics. Carson Industries manufactures structural foam-molded engineered plastic products, while BES Concrete manufactures underground precast concrete utility vaults.
“These key acquisitions enable OPES to provide our customers with complete packages and solutions for virtually any application in the utility and duct marketplace,” says Brian Stuber, vice president of sales for OPES. “For electrical engineers who've had to purchase products from several manufacturers to complete their cable routing, we're now able to offer one-stop shopping.”
OPES operates 10 facilities strategically located across the United States and Canada.
