EA Technology Implements Global Growth Strategy

EA Technology has opened sales offices in Shanghai, China, and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, as part of its global growth strategy. The U.K.-based power engineering company also has appointed a new head of international business development to further build the company's presence worldwide. In addition, EA Technology has appointed five new European distributors — in Portugal, Poland, Italy, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia — and expects to add another four more soon, which will bring its total to 25.

“There are massive potential markets for EA Technology products and services worldwide, particularly for assessing the condition of medium-voltage and high-voltage assets by measuring partial discharge activity, which is one of the most valuable technologies available for live testing,” says Haydn Rees, the new head of business development for EA Technology's recently created International Business department. “Our UltraTEV Detector, for example, has become virtually standard equipment across the U.K. power industry … and we have already had tremendous success with it in the Far East and Middle East. Our strategy is to continue expanding our range of PD instruments and make new inroads into countries where condition-based asset management is relatively unknown.”
