Henkels & McCoy Commits to H&M NetWorks' Line of Business
Henkels & McCoy has invested in a newly constructed 15,000-sq ft (1394-sq m) headquarters in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, U.S., for its H&M NetWorks division. H&M NetWorks moved into the new facility Oct. 8.
“Henkels & McCoy has traditionally been viewed as a utility construction company,” explains H&M Vice President Mark Lehman, who oversees H&M NetWorks. “H&M NetWorks really is in technology, so we wanted to change our image and be viewed as a technology company, and H&M NetWorks tells that story.”
H&M NetWorks provides design, installation and maintenance on voice and data networks, IP security networks (primarily video surveillance), wireless networks, digital voice systems, data centers, kiosk deployments and training services. “With the convergence of technologies, almost everything is running over networks,” says Lehman. “Voice data, video security, even building controls now are running over company networks. That's really our big picture: We are preparing to be able to provide these services seamlessly to our clients.”
H&M NetWorks has a national footprint with offices in many major metropolitan areas and more than 500 employees. Over the last couple years, the company has also been focusing on solidifying strong partnerships in new technologies and diverse geographic areas.
“We currently have 15 platinum partners,” Lehman notes. “They're significant enough — they do significant business with us — to support our national customers in all the other major metropolitan areas and in technical areas that we're not covering. Along with that, we have more than 300 associate companies that we deal with, with various degrees of technology experience to cover all the outlying areas.”
In the end, the new headquarters enables H&M NetWorks to provide more services, more efficiently and more effectively.
