MISO Market Participants Choose ABB Market Management Solution
ABB has reached agreements with three Midwest ISO (MISO; Carmel, Indiana, U.S.) market participants to provide market interface and bidding software. Vectren Corp., Indianapolis Power & Light and DTE Energy will implement ABB's gimsplus
The software provides the necessary programmatic market interface, market management tools, market settlement and support systems for real-time operations for the MISO Day 2 market. It also has been certified by MISO as meeting all data exchange requirements.
Gimsplus is designed to integrate with existing market participant applications used for energy trading, as well as day-ahead and real-time scheduling and operation. Given the tight time lines imposed by MISO for the establishment of the Day 2 market, the companies are relying on ABB's demonstrated ability to deliver on their commitments.
