PSN Components Buys Newell Porcelain, Forms NEWELL-PSN
PSN Components (Poughkeepsie, New York, U.S.), a global manufacturer of high-quality electro-porcelain insulators for medium- and high-voltage applications, has acquired Newell Porcelain (Newell, West Virginia, U.S.), which had suspended operations at its plant in August 2005, but not before fulfilling all of its customer obligations.
The new enterprise, NEWELL-PSN, is headquartered in the former Newell Porcelain facility. Hemal R. Desai, CEO of PSN Components, serves as CEO of NEWELL-PSN. Rick Stanley, who served as CEO of Newell Porcelain, is the executive vice president of sales.
Desai stated that PSN Components intends to maintain the traditions and to perpetuate the level of customer care people came to expect from Newell Porcelain.
