RAO UES of Russia Grows Competitive Procurement Transactions in 2005
RAO UES Holding Co. (Moscow, Russia) carried out 9245 procurement transactions on a competitive basis in 2005, which represents an increase of 24% compared to 2004. The number of open tenders nearly doubled to 7118 from 3023, reaching 77% of all competitive tenders held at RAO UES of Russia. The value of goods and services procured totaled about 300 billion rubles.
The procurement system at RAO UES of Russia is decentralized. Each RAO UES entity independently procures the products and services it needs.
