Tekla (Espoo, Finland) and Eesti Energia AS (Tallinn Estonia) have signed a contract on further deliveries of the Tekla Xpower network information system. According to the agreement, Eesti Energia will acquire more Tekla Xpower licenses, further developing the system and its integration with other information systems. Eesti Energia is doing this in order to prepare for the extension of use of Tekla Xpower at the beginning of 2005.

Eesti Energia aims to manage its distribution network's switching situation and network failures with the Tekla Xpower distribution management system (DMS) in its dispatch centers, and thus prepare for the new compensation for overlong interruptions practice to be adopted in Estonia in 2005.

The Tekla Xpower system covers the entire life cycle of energy distribution networks, including network documentation, planning and construction functions, network calculations, operational support, maintenance and customer service.
