Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD; Columbus, Nebraska), the state's largest electric utility, awarded GE Network Solutions (Atlanta, Georgia) a multimillion dollar contract to implement its Smallworld Core Spatial Technology software.
The Smallworld Core Spatial Technology provides scalable, extensible and open solutions that integrate with existing business systems to control spatial data.
For the NPPD project, GE Network Solutions will implement a complete solution for geographic information systems, engineering management and outage management using a suite of Smallworld products, including its Smallworld PowerOn software, Smallworld Design Manager software and Smallworld Internet Application Server software.
