United States: S.D. Myers Acquires Ohio Transformer

S.D. Myers (Tallmadge, Ohio) acquired Ohio Transformer from Grand Eagle (Richfield, Ohio), which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in December 2001.

Included in the acquisition were Ohio Transformer's entire business operations and two Ohio Transformer facilities in Louisville, Ohio, and Bradenton, Florida.

After this transaction concluded on March 1, 2002, Ohio Transformer became a S.D. Myers company and is now one of the largest transformer repair, rewinding and remanufacturing service providers in the world.
