Sabre Industries and Brametal S.A have entered into a multifaceted, multistep joint venture. A subsidiary of Hollmore Participacoes E Investimentos S.A, Brametal is a Brazilian company with extensive experience in engineering, design and testing of lattice transmission towers. The joint venture will include the development of a testing facility located on Sabre Tubular Structures' 147-acre (59-hectare) industrial complex in Alvarado, Texas, U.S.

Sabre Tubular Structures, the steel pole division of Sabre Industries, currently manufactures tubular steel poles used in the utility industry. The new testing station is scheduled for completion in late summer of 2012 and will be the only one in the United States designed to test both towers and poles.

In addition to the new testing station, Sabre Tubular Structures initially will be using Sabre Industries' tower facility in Sioux City, Iowa, U.S., to manufacture Brametal's lattice transmission towers.

Future plans include the addition of space and machinery to Sabre's facility in Alvarado, giving it the capacity to manufacture Brametal's lattice towers.
