Injection Process Repairs Leaks on Electrical Equipment

Four-bolt flapper flange ready for injection.

The Power Services Division of Colt Atlantic Services, Inc. repairs oil, nitrogen and oil leaks on electrical equipment without draining or de-pressurizing the equipment. The proven injection process allows the repairs to be completed in many cases with the unit in service. No epoxies or welding, the S-22 sealant has excellent dielectric properties, has had dissolved gas analysis completed and will not bond to the metal.

Bushing leak repaired using a custom-fabricated clamp.

Over 7000 documented repairs have been completed by Colt on packings, flanges, bushings, CTs, pumps, tap changers, cover plates, welds, radiator fins and more. Repairs are guaranteed for two years unconditionally, and a conditional life time guarantee is also provided.

Be sure to visit the Colt Atlantic exhibit at The Hospitality Expo, Booth 87.
