WIKA Offers SF6 Gas Density Monitoring Instruments

WIKA provides SF6 gas density monitoring instrumentation. Standard pressure measuring devices are not safe for use in SF6 applications because temperature and ambient pressure changes alter the indication for the same density levels. This creates a dangerous situation where the actual amount of gas in a tank is unknown. Consequently, WIKA SF6 instruments are hermetically sealed and temperature compensated so that the actual volume of gas in the tank is known, the instrument has the highest possible accuracy, and moisture is prevented from obstructing the display.

WIKA SF6 monitoring covers the industry spectrum of applications including GIS, Live/Dead tank breakers, RMU, and Pad Mount switchgear. Specific solutions include Gas Density Transmitters, Gas Density Monitors, Gas Density Indicators and Gas Density Switches. Each has been field tested around the world in harsh environments from the scorching desert to the frozen tundra, giving us great confidence that our SF6 instrumentation is the best in the world.

All WIKA SF6 instruments are:

• Customized according to customer specifications
• Free of error due to altitude and ambient environment changes
• Water and humidity-tight
• Manufactured in a 5-sigma process
• At the highest accuracy for their class
• Installed worldwide in harsh climates
