Mitsubishi Purchases Former Asten-Johnson Site

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc., a co-host of Factory Day 2008, will offer a tour of its state-of-the-art facilities. MEPPI completed the purchase last year of the former Asten-Johnson site to accommodate the continued growth of its business. The
building is located between MEPPI’s headquarters building at 530 Keystone
Drive and the gas circuit breaker division’s 512 Keystone Drive building.

The former Asten-Johnson building, now called the 520 building, will house portions of four MEPPI businesses including:

  • Transportation Systems—office staff, factory operations, repair service, and spare parts.
  • Ozone (water purification)—factory operations and spare parts.
  • Substation—spare parts and equipment for field installation and test.
  • Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)—factory operation and spare parts including warehousing operations, factory test, and repair.

Other MEPPI expansion projects included the move of Diamond Vision’s factory operation to the 530 Keystone Drive building and the addition of a fourth bay to the 512 Keystone Drive building for increased production capacity and efficiency of material flow.

Visit MEPPI’s exhibit in the Urban Room, Booth #37 at The Expo.
