Allegheny Power Ranked First in Northeast Region by Industrial Customers
Large commercial and industrial customers have rated Allegheny Power as one of the leaders in customer satisfaction among electric utilities in the United States.
Allegheny ranked number one in the Northeast Region in the 2008 TQS Research, Inc. Benchmark Survey of 60 large utilities. This marks the fourth consecutive year that the company achieved the top rating in the region. Nationally, the company ranked 12th. The study ranks customer satisfaction according to the following criteria: price, reliability, energy efficiency programs, power quality, account representative performance, handling inquiries, and image.
“Satisfying customers is a top priority in our drive to become a high-performance organization. It’s gratifying to see our efforts acknowledged in this survey,” said Paul J. Evanson, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Allegheny Energy.
The newly released TQS Report stated, “The account representatives from Allegheny Power have considerable quality contact with their largest customers” and ranked highly “on assisting their customer to reduce their energy costs.”
