Black & Veatch Telecom Division Achieves ISO 9000 Certification
The telecommunications division of Black & Veatch (www.bv.com) has achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification.
ISO 9000 is a globally recognized standard for quality management systems that are maintained by the International Organization for Standardization. The 2008 designation is for companies that meet the most current ISO standards.
To meet the certification requirements, Black & Veatch documented and submitted for technical review its quality management processes and system requirements. In addition, the company was independently audited by Det Norske Veritas (DNV), one of the world's leading certification bodies, with more than 70,000 certificates issued worldwide.
“ISO certification requires monitoring and continual improvement to maintain the organization's status, which will be audited by DNV twice a year,” said Jenny Perlingiero, manager of Black & Veatch's telecommunications quality management system. “These important steps help us identify process improvements that will further enhance service delivery to our clients.”
