EF Johnson Technologies Receives Orders to Support DoD's AMI Program
EF Johnson Technologies Inc.'s 3e Technologies International (3eTI) subsidiary has received orders valued at $4.5 million from U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) prime contractors to deliver its FIPS 140-2 Validated secure wireless mesh products in support of the advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) program. The orders call for the company to deliver its products for deployment across many DoD locations.
“The AMI program is enabling the DoD to install advanced meters for use in monitoring energy consumption at military installations to meet key tenets of the Federal Energy Policy Act,” said Michael Jalbert, president and CEO of EF Johnson Technologies Inc. “Our affordable secure wireless mesh products are supporting the establishment of a robust AMI network infrastructure that provides two-way communication between the advanced meters and the energy management system.
