Ofgem Investigating Power Failure in London
Britain's Office of Gas and Electric Markets (Ofgem) regulator is investigating the power failure that occurred Aug. 28, 2003, in London, England.
Ofgem's Chief Executive Callum McCarthy, said: “Ofgem is seeking information from NGC (National Grid Company) and will be providing a report to both Ofgem and the DTI. In the light of this and our own investigation, we will consider if NGC carried out its legal obligations to maintain the grid to the required standard.”
