TXU Energy Recognized for New Innovative Technologies in Customer Care
TXU Energy has recently been recognized by two publications, CIO Magazine and Computerworld, for its efforts to enhance customer service and deliver value through significant investments in new innovative technologies.
TXU Energy has been named as a Laureate by the International Data Group’s (IDG) Computerworld Honors Program. This prestigious award goes to the Top 15 companies globally in each industry. Additionally, TXU Energy was also recognized on the 2010 CIO 100 list by CIO Magazine. With this recognition, TXU Energy is ranked as one of the top 100 companies across all industries for their commitment in using new innovative technologies to provide customers with services and value that are superior to their competitors.
Serving more than two million customers in the highly competitive Texas retail electricity market, TXU Energy replaced virtually all of its 170 IT systems with new technologies in 2009.
These recent investments in technology are enabling TXU Energy’s customers to make better decisions through new solutions on the web and mobile devices to monitor and reduce home energy consumption. In addition, customers are enjoying a much improved interactive voice response (IVR) system, as well as new web portals for both residential and business customers that make it simpler to get desired services quickly and easily.
