Bonneville Power Administration Testing New Energy Efficiency System

Nexant, Inc. has begun testing the new Energy Efficiency Central (EE Central) system that the company is developing for Bonneville Power Administration. It will replace BPA’s existing Planning, Tracking & Reporting (PTR) system currently used by over 140 Pacific Northwest utilities and stakeholders to manage and report on their energy conservation and renewable resource activities.

“Early last year, we chose Nexant from a competitive solicitation to help us develop EE Central, which will provide our customers with a user-friendly platform employing the latest technology to report their energy efficiency results. EE Central will also streamline our ability to assess and share program performance results,” said Mike Weedall, vice president of BPA Energy Efficiency. “The system will help us as we work with our customers to meet aggressive energy efficiency targets included in the Northwest Power and Conservation Council’s Sixth Power Plan.”

EE Central’s core functionalities include an extensive common EE measures library, advanced process flow management, document management and repository, flexible reporting, and user dashboards, as well as the ability for real-time integration with external tools such as savings calculators.
