GE, Trane Combine Building Automation with Data Management

GE and Trane have combined expertise to offer a new solution called Tracer XT that combines Trane Tracer building automation systems and GE’s Proficy ecomagination-qualified technology.

Tracer XT offers a platform specifically designed to integrate, manage and optimize critical facility systems. It is the latest addition to the full portfolio of Tracer controls solutions by Trane. Tracer XT is the first controls offering qualified for inclusion in the Ingersoll Rand Green Portfolio of products.

Tracer XT is based on Proficy, GE’s software platform that is helping customers reduce operating costs. It builds on the foundation of GE Intelligent Platforms Proficy’ s data management capabilities, analytical tools and communications to provide an approach to integrating data from a variety of systems for HVAC, power, lighting, safety and more into a common interface to manage energy use and cooling requirements to optimize operational and environmental performance.

The Proficy Software platform is ecomagination-qualified for improving overall process efficiency, reducing waste and defects, and reducing energy usage. GE and Trane are working together to bring customers a breadth of solutions to meet the sustainability needs of today’s business.
