EPRI Announces Fourth Power Delivery Asset Management Conference

The Electric Power Research Institute’s Fourth Power Delivery Asset Management Conference will be held in Chicago, Illinois, on Oct. 8-10, 2008. The conference will build on the three prior conferences to provide a forum for asset management and information technology leaders to exchange ideas and lessons learned, to highlight success stories as well as discuss challenges, and to explore the opportunities and possibilities of an asset management program.

This conference will feature a special emphasis on international experience in asset management. It will cover asset management guidelines such as PAS-55 and greater experience with performance-based regulation and associated quantitative techniques. The conference will also explore newly developing challenges from integrating technologies such as renewable and distributed resources and smart grids.

The 2008 conference continues with two successful themes from the first three conferences, namely decision support methods and tools for asset and risk management and information technology implications to the success of asset management programs.
