Jackson Energy Authority Selects ViryaNet Service Hub

Jackson Energy Authority (JEA; Jackson, Tennessee, U.S.) has chosen ViryaNet Service Hub for Utilities to manage its field service organization. JEA provides electric, natural gas, propane, water, wastewater, cable TV, telephone and Internet services to more than 38,000 residences and businesses in Jackson and parts of Madison County and surrounding counties in Tennessee.

Under the terms of the contract, ViryaNet announced that JEA purchased the software license and professional services from a ViryaNet strategic partner. JEA intends to use ViryaNet Service Hub for Utilities to improve the operational performance of its field delivery organization.

ViryaNet Service Hub for Utilities will schedule and dispatch JEA field service technicians across its service territory, delivering a range of services that include meter “turn-on” and “turn-off” services, credit and collections, asset management and more. ViryaNet will schedule these resources based on work order type, location, skill sets, work order tasks, parts required and other JEA business requirements.

“Jackson Energy Authority selected ViryaNet because of its technological architecture as well as its robust functionality that yields bottom-line impact,” says Jim Watson, senior vice president and COO of JEA. “As JEA expands its services, ViryaNet Service Hub for Utilities will enable our field service organization to provide additional services without adding resources.”
