Find more articles about SCADA.

Symantec Corp. (Cupertino, California, U.S.) and AREVA's T&D division will partner to provide a comprehensive security solution that includes products, services and best practices for SCADA systems in the electric power industry. This SCADA security solution has been designed to meet cyber security needs without adversely impacting performance and availability as cited by objective U.S. third-party Battelle's Pacific Northwest Division, who has tested and validated the solution.

AREVA will resell Symantec for Electric Power solutions to assist electric utilities' in their efforts to lockdown increasingly interconnected SCADA networks, ensure business continuity, achieve regulatory compliance, and avoid costly disruptions associated with information security breaches. The tested solution includes Symantec Manhunt intrusion detection system, Symantec Gateway Security, Symantec Client Security and Symantec AntiVirus.

Symantec for Electric Power helps utilities address business-related security issues, as well as to comply with industry regulations and standards, such as NERC Cyber Security standard. The Symantec solution addresses cyber security needs for corporate and SCADA networks.
