Utility Electric Increases Communication and Reduces Paperwork with StakeOut
“StakeOut is 10 times better than our previous work order procedures. MiniMax has exceeded the expectations we had going into this project,” says Pat Corun, Bridger Valley Electric's engineering manager. Since implementing StakeOut, Bridger Valley (Mt. View, Wyoming, U.S.) has reduced the paper work for each work order by 75%.
“Once we get through the transition stage of the work order procedure, we believe more efficiencies will be revealed,” Corun adds. StakeOut also has improved internal communications, design accuracy and reporting consistency.
In addition to using StakeOut Editor in the field to design jobs, Bridger Valley uses StakeOut InfoCenter to give everyone in the utility access to StakeOut's work order tracking capabilities. According to Corun, “People here are excited about how they can just jump onto InfoCenter and see the status of any job. Mapping and billing can log on every morning and see which jobs are ready for them to work on that day. This will also let us be more responsive when customers call and ask about a job status.” Bridger Valley has set up InfoCenter to automatically generate emails to billing and mapping when a job has been released for them to work on. Bridger Valley uses SEDC for accounting and an ESRI-based GIS mapping system.
Corun continued, “Training went very well. I had a great response from my staking team. We were very pleased with MiniMax's responsiveness to little changes and issues that came up.”
