SDG&E to Optimize Mobile Workforce Management With ClickSoftware ServiceOptimization Suite
San Diego Gas & Electric has purchased ClickSoftware's ServiceOptimization Suite to improve work forecasting, resource planning, and scheduling of natural gas and electric transmission and distribution field work crews.
SDG&E will deploy ClickSoftware's suite of applications, including ClickForecast, ClickPlan, ClickSchedule and ClickAnalyze, to provide greater visibility and alignment of forecasted work and resource capacity. The system implementation is planned for short- and long-cycle work. SDG&E expects to roll-out the new functionality beginning the second half of 2008 with phased deployment. The software upgrades help support the utilities' vision for continuing operational excellence.
