Dominion and CheckFree i-Solutions, part of CheckFree Corporation, announced that customers of Dominion East Ohio, Dominion Peoples and Dominion Hope can now enjoy the benefits of receiving and paying their gas bill online. The three natural gas companies serve 1.9 million customers in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Since 1999, Dominion has offered CheckFree-powered electronic bill distribution and payment to Dominion Virginia Power and Dominion North Carolina Power electric customers. Now, all Dominion customers can enroll through , the CheckFree distribution network of more than 580 banks, portals, credit unions and personal financial management software, or .

By enrolling at one of the CheckFree distribution network sites, Dominion customers can receive and pay other bills from a growing number of telephone, mortgage, insurance, credit card companies, newspaper publishers and more. Consumers can also use "pay everyone" services to make payments from their computers to anyone to whom they would write a check.

Dominion is utilizing CheckFree i-Utility software -- developed specifically for the needs of utility companies -- to deliver highly interactive electronic bills and statements to its residential and the majority of its business customers. Using the software platform, Dominion offers its customers tools for online monitoring and comparing monthly energy usage. CheckFree i-Utility also enables Dominion's customers to easily access up to six month worth of bills.

Dominion offers its customers a biller direct electronic billing service that is powered by CheckFree i-Solutions. Online payments for Dominion's biller direct site,, are processed using the CheckFree Hosted Payment service. This solution enables Dominion to accept electronic payments from its customers over the Web via a Web server. The service provides a high level of payment functionality and convenience to Dominion customers.
