Job Title: Superintendent of Engineering Services
Job Description: Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative (ILEC) has an immediate opening for an electrical engineer who will be responsible for material and equipment procurement, materials management, environmental compliance, safety training and compliance, and metering. Additional oversight of support services responsibilities include line inspection and maintenance, pole treatment, URD fault locating, equipment maintenance, GIS mapping and network system support. The Superintendent of Engineering Services supervises three (3) direct reports, with a total staff of five (5), along with additional temporary and seasonal employees as needed. This position reports to the Director of Operations.
A Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and ten (10) years of progressive experience in electric distribution operations and maintenance required. Successful candidate must have thorough knowledge of electric distribution construction, operations, and maintenance and be familiar with NESC, NEC, and RUS specifications, as well as other applicable state and federal codes & regulations related to electric distribution operations & maintenance. Additionally, the successful candidate must demonstrate a high degree of relevant computer literacy, possess strong written and oral communication skills, and be capable of working both independently and in a team environment.
