The organizers of the European LiDAR Mapping Forum said they have been astounded by the response to the relatively recent launch of this event. About 80% of the stands have been sold for the exhibition.

The ELMF is focused on applying the technology of LIDAR and laser scanning to deliver outside mapping and imaging solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner across a variety of markets. The second ELMF is taking place in Salzburg, Austria on Nov. 29-30, 2011.

Recent additions to the exhibitor list include Bentley, Blom, and Iqsoft. To view the complete exhibitor list, please go to http://www.lidarmap.org/ELMF/exhibition/exhibitor_list.aspx

The ELMF team have also witnessed a great response to the call for papers with over 80 abstracts submitted for consideration. The Conference Committee under the guidance of Conference Chairman Alastair MacDonald are currently reviewing all the abstracts and the program will be released at the beginning of September.

Last year’s inaugural event attracted 613 professionals from the mapping, surveying and GIS industries representing 46 countries. The conference program included 46 technical papers presented by leading authorities in their field, supported by a sold-out exhibition with 51 of the top international organizations in attendance.
