To ensure continued high levels of customer service, Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) opened a new employee training facility that will be used for computer and skill-based training and serve as a backup call center during utility emergencies.

The 600-square-foot Susan Postans Training Room, named in honor of KUA’s current vice president of customer service, Susan Postans, features 12 computer workstations and a state-of-the-art LCD projection system for instructional purposes. An adjacent room will serve as a library resource center and include books and assorted customer service training videos with appropriate viewing and listening equipment.

Postans joined KUA in April and brought to the utility more than 21 years of customer service experience, including 18 years at Progress Energy Florida (formerly Florida Power Corp).
