GE Energy Announces Advanced Power Systems Training Schedule
GE Energy has released its advanced power systems training schedule for the fourth quarter 2007 term. Registration is now open for enrollment into any of the 24 classes offered including Distribution Systems Planning and Engineering, Deregulated Power Markets and Wind Power Fundamentals. Classes are held in the company’s Schenectady, New York, training facility and run from August through Dec. 13, 2007.
For the past 60 years, GE has offered global electric utility professionals the opportunity to train at a learning facility with a unique curriculum and a program that is established in the energy industry. This learning experience includes insightful lectures by industry experts as well as tours to research centers, independent system operator’s sites and industry businesses.
The GE coursework is designed to enhance the skills and knowledge that are essential to becoming a successful leader in the electric power industry. Program coursework focuses on planning, advanced applications, economics/markets, emerging technologies and project solutions.
Over the years, graduates from the program have advanced their careers in a number of ways and several have reached the chief executive officer level.
