(SPTD) with satellite training centers in Houston, TX, Denver, CO, Pittsburgh, PA, Wendell, NC and Jackson, MS.

The next short course on transmission will be June 11- 15, 2007. The Advanced Transmission Planning with Modern Network Analysis Tools (PSS™E, PSS™MUST, PSS™OPF) will be at the Siemens Office - Schenectady, New York. Tuition is $2450. The course covers practical application of the latest analytical and simulation technologies available to transmission planners and uses hands-on approach to demonstrate concepts and implementation of planning methods and tools. Topics include multi-objective analysis, planning under uncertainty, assessment of reliability schemes, thermal capacity expansion, transfer limit analysis, dynamic modeling for future equipment and stability countermeasures, and database requirements.
