PG&E Reports Service Restored to Customers Affected by Napa County EarthquakeAug 25, 2014
Pacific Gas and Electric Company is reporting that electric service is restored for 70,000 customers affected by Sunday's Napa County earthquake. The early morning earthquake in Napa County was 6.0 magnitude and happened on Aug. 24. PG&E immediately made plans for additional actions in the days ahead to ensure customer safety.
PG&E had restored service to 62,700 customers in the first day. Service has been essentially restored for all originally impacted customers in Sonoma County. In the more heavily impacted Napa County, PG&E expected to restore service yesterday to the majority of the remaining 7,300 customers whose homes or businesses aren't damaged and can accept restoration. The company expects that some outages may require additional time to restore and in these cases will be communicating directly with customers whose repairs may take longer.
