Q: We have a 12 kV distribution system within about one mile from the coast. The porcelain insulators are quite old but structurally okay. But during fog they are noisy, both audibly and on an AM radio. We've also had complaints about TV interference because some of our customers still use TV antennas. We've tried washing. It works but is very expensive. Any other suggestions?
