Exelon Announces Donation and Matching Gifts for Earthquake Relief
Exelon Corporation and its employees are making a financial commitment of up to $375,000 to the American Red Cross for relief efforts following the recent earthquake in northeastern Pakistan. Exelon has made an immediate donation of $125,000 and will also match employee contributions to the American Red Cross dollar-for-dollar, up to $125,000.
"Our employees have a strong history of responding in times of crisis," said John W. Rowe, Exelon chairman, president and CEO. "The people of Pakistan, Afghanistan and India now face incredible hardships, and we are pleased to support the American Red Cross in their efforts to assist the victims of this devastating earthquake."
Exelon Corporation is one of the nation's largest electric utilities with approximately 5.2 million customers and more than $14 billion in annual revenues.
