Henkels & McCoy Dispatched Over 500 in Response to Hurricane Katrina
Henkels & McCoy, Inc. announced in September that more than 470 power employees, 30 communications line workers, seven safety personnel and approximately 269 pieces of equipment were dispatched in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Crews and equipment from the Central and East regions were ramped up prior to Hurricane Katrina hitting the Gulf Coast. Henkels & McCoy worked to restore services to the hurricane victims and also gathered supplies to send to its crews.
In addition to supplying workers and equipment, Henkels & McCoy also made a pledge to match employee contributions dollar for dollar.
Henkels & McCoy, founded in 1923, is a privately held engineering, network development and construction firms serving the utility, communications, and information technology industries.
