Intergraph Corporation announced it is working with local, state and federal relief agencies in responding to Hurricane Katrina's devastation. The company is providing technical assistance and monetary aid in support of the relief, recovery and rebuilding efforts on the U.S. Gulf Coast.

"The people of Intergraph offer our deepest sympathy to the people impacted by the destruction along the U.S. Gulf Coast," said Halsey Wise, president and chief executive officer, Intergraph Corporation. "Our company and our people are deeply committed to aiding victims, customers, partners and government agencies affected by and responding to this disaster."

Intergraph will donate $50,000 to the American Red Cross and has also established an employee-matching fund for up to an additional $50,000 to be donated to the American Red Cross. The company is also currently working to establish an "Intergraph Charitable Foundation," which will initially focus on providing assistance to the emergency first-responder community engaged in relief and rebuilding efforts.

Intergraph is working with a number of the region's public safety and emergency response agencies to get their critical command and control centers back on line in order to respond to relief efforts and other emergency incidents. The company has also deployed a number of its geospatial, transportation and utilities experts to directly assist in the organization and distribution of critical information needed in the assessment of the damage and the prioritization of the relief, recovery and rebuilding efforts in the region.

In addition, the company is offering resources to its regional oil and process customers to assess storm damage and identify areas of repair, allowing them to perform start-up activities and establish commissioning systems to more rapidly get these plants back on line.

"While the obstacles are evident, it is part of the Intergraph culture to help our customers and fellow citizens in this time of need. We will continue to work with customers, partners and government officials involved in recovery and reconstruction efforts."
