TXU Electric Delivery Reports 90% Complete; Restoration Efforts on Schedule

TXU Electric Delivery reports that East Texas restoration is more than 90% complete, with less than 11,500 customers in Angelina and Nacogdoches Counties needing power. In Nacogdoches, less than 3250 homes and businesses are without service. Lufkin has 8250 customers without power.

"Our employees are making great progress," said Brenda Pulis, senior vice president, TXU Electric Delivery. "They have a goal and they are dedicated to meeting that goal safely and efficiently." More than 1,300 employees and contractors are committed to restoring power in East Texas.

TXU Electric Delivery continues to project that all customers in the area will be restored by the end of the week. Critical care customers continue to be a priority for TXU Electric Delivery.

Local residents can assist utility crews by turning on their porch light today and leaving it on through the weekend. This allows TXU Electric Delivery crews to confirm that all lights have been restored.
