ABB Presents Donation to Gulf Coast Charities at IEEE T&D Expo
ABB, will make a total donation of $40,000 to two Gulf Coast recovery foundations: Power of Hope, an organization founded by Entergy, and the Mississippi Hurricane Recovery Fund established by Governor Haley Barbour. Entergy and Southern Company will co-sponsor a reception at the ABB booth where the donations will be presented to representatives from the two organizations. This money to Mississippi and Louisiana organizations is in lieu of the usual hospitality events sponsored by ABB. The donations follow a $400,000 gift to the Red Cross made by ABB employees and the company's charitable foundation in the weeks immediately following last fall's hurricanes. The presentation will be made at the ABB booth on Monday, May 22, 2006.
