Plain-Talk Courses for the Non-Engineering Power Professional
The 2010 IEEE PES T&D Conference will offer special short courses for non-engineering professionals. A special separate registration is required for these courses, although full conference registration is not required. The focus is to provide a thorough foundation in electric power systems planning, operations and economics and various regulatory frameworks. Basic electrical terminology and concepts are explained in simple-to-understand terms with regards to design, construction, operations and maintenance of power plants, substations and transmission and distribution lines. Basic electrical safety concepts are included.
