Maintain Bolt Preload on Electrical Connections
Solon Manufacturing Co. will present two technical presentations at the 2008 IEEE Transmission & Distribution Conference & Expo. The first info session, "Maintain Bolt Preload on Electrical Connections," will cover the definition of a Belleville spring, reducing hot spots due to differential thermal expansion, why and how Belleville springs keep joints tight, and installation procedures. This session will be presented in Room S502a (level 5) at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23.
Immediately following the bolt preload session, Solon features "SF6 Gas Density Monitoring for Circuit Breakers." White papers and product information will be available at Solon Manufacturing Co. Booth 133.
