India Utility to Use Triple Point Software for Management

Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), one of the largest electric utilities in India, will use Triple Point's Commodity XL for Power next-generation software solution to manage the utility's physical and financial trading, risk management, and electricity and transmission scheduling.

GUVNL, in the business of generation, transmission and distribution in the state of Gujarat, India, chose Commodity XL for Power to support a growing program of inter- and intra-state power trading. Commodity XL supports every part of a client's organization, from traders to schedulers to risk managers to accountants to executives.

Triple Point will provide GUVNL with localized support through the company's office in Pune, India. Triple Point's Indian clients also include Bharat Petroleum Company Ltd. (BPCL), the India Electron Exchange, PTC India Ltd. and Reliance Industries.
