California Public Utility Provider Selects PC Mall Gov as Software Vendor
PC Mall Gov, Inc. has been awarded a contract as the software commodities provider for Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP). As the contract holder, PC Mall Gov will provide approved commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products from named manufacturers. The contract has a term of one-year with two additional one-year options and gives PC Mall Gov, Inc. the opportunity to make up to $29.5 million in sales to LADWP during the term of the contract.
LADWP, the largest municipal utility in the United States, provides water and electricity to 3.9 million residents. It has a workforce of 8375 employees and an annual budget of $3.16 billion. The organization’s operations are funded solely through the sales of water and electricity and its capital funds are partially offset through the sales of bonds. The utility receives no tax support.
“Our expertise in serving the IT requirements of public sector organizations combines with our specialization in software and licensing to allow us to bring a strong skill set to this key public utility provider,” stated Alan Bechara, president of PC Mall Gov. “We look forward to continuing to support the mission of LADWP with this contract award.”
PC Mall Gov holds key authorizations for a broad array of leading software products. These include status as a Microsoft Gold Partner LAR, Adobe Authorized Academic and Government Reseller/Managed Partner, McAfee Gold Partner Authorized Education and Government, and Symantec Elite Partner Authorized Government and Academic Reseller. PC Mall Gov will be providing these products, as well as others, to LADWP
